How much does a massage cost?
- First Visit: 60 minutes, $100. An introductory session for new clients, with time to discuss your needs.
- Regular Session: 60 minutes, $130. Focused work for your highest-priority areas.
- 90-Minute Session: 90 minutes, $195. Time for focused work across several areas, without rushing.
- 120-Minute Session: 120 minutes, $260. Extended full-body work with more time for areas that need attention.
The $100 introductory session is for new clients.
Which session should I book?
New here? Start with the 60-minute introductory session. For ongoing work, 60 minutes focuses on your highest-priority areas, 90 minutes allows time for several areas, and 120 minutes allows more time for full-body work.

What happens at my first visit, and when should I arrive?
We begin with a brief conversation about your needs, movement habits, relevant injury history, and areas you want me to focus on. The bodywork is slow and attentive, with pressure adjusted together.
Complete your online intake form before your appointment, or arrive 15 minutes early to fill it out in person.
Does the massage have to hurt? Can I ask you to stop?
The work can feel deep and focused, but it is not meant to be painful or overwhelming. Tell me if the pressure is uncomfortable. You can ask for lighter pressure, skip an area, pause, or stop the session.
Can we discuss clothing and draping before I book?
Yes. If you have questions about clothing, covering, or privacy during a session, call 425-507-8902 so we can discuss your comfort and what to expect before you book.
Do you accept insurance or provide receipts?
Slow Tide Bodywork is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Itemized receipts are available on request.
If you intend to use HSA/FSA funds or seek reimbursement, check eligibility and any documentation requirements with your plan administrator before booking. A receipt is not a guarantee of reimbursement.
Will my card be charged when I book?
No. A valid credit card is required to hold your appointment, but it is not charged at booking. Late-cancellation and no-show charges follow the policy below.
What is your cancellation policy?
- 24 or more hours before your appointment: no charge.
- Less than 24 hours, before the appointment day: 50% of the session fee.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows: 100% of the session fee.

Where are you located? Is there parking or an elevator?
The studio is at 12210 Ambaum Blvd SW, Suite G2, Burien, WA 98146. Free on-site parking is available.
The studio is on the second floor, with stairs only and no elevator. If you need a step-free location, call before booking to ask about a referral to an accessible local provider.
