About
I’m Kana, a graduate of Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts in Washington.
My work is slow and deep, shaped by years of movement-based experience — including theater, dance, and teaching hot yoga. I approach massage as a way to stay connected to the body, not to override it.
I grew up in Japan, where touch has long been part of everyday care. Often referred to as Teate, it reflects the idea that touch itself can be supportive, grounding, and restorative. That understanding continues to inform how I work today.
"Depth isn’t forced. It’s allowed."
Sessions at Slow Tide Bodywork are grounded and intentional. Depth comes first, applied with weight and presence, allowing the body to respond and release in its own time.
This work is not about being fixed or passively receiving care. It’s a collaborative process — I bring skill and attention, and you bring awareness of your own body.
